To install this map, go to your game directory that corresponds with the game you are trying to install the on.
You need to go into the maps folder of the game directory

E.g:

Counter-strike: Source -

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\maps

Half-Life 2 -

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\maps

Put the map (and "NOT" the README file) into the maps folder.


These directories may vary depending on what drive your game is installed on.


It's time I brought to you today Version 2 of Hoverworld!! 
The development for version 2 was actually started over a year ago! Why did it take this long to get here? Well, because I have worked on it on and off but I never forgot about it.
There were a few challenges I faced when creating version 2. For instance, the lighting of the underground skatepark. The underground skatepark actually uses fake sunlight just like the aboveground skatepark!
The challenge was getting the sunlight to shine inside the underground skatepark because in real life, you couldn't get sunlight directly from the sun while underground in a cave for example! ;)
I had to use some Hammer Editor trickery here (In case you don't know, the Hammer Editor is the program mappers use to make maps for the source engine).
It turned out, my idea of the ceiling not casting shadows to make the whole underground skatepark dark had works, but it gave players the ability to grab the ceiling with their physgun and break the ceiling.
Fortunately enough, I found a way around it, I used a texture called "toolsblockbullets" and wrapped it around the ceiling so that it blocked bullets from hitting the ceiling. The same applies for grabbing with the physgun and using the toolgun.
The only downside is that you won't see bullet impacts on the ceiling and in a few other places around the map. If you notice this, you now know why. Now you can't break the ceiling! So don't try it! ;)

In this version of Hoverworld:
- I have added a new underground skatepark
- A new loop has been added into the aboveground skatepark
- The teleport images have been changed
- Some improvements have been made in terms of the map's geometry
- I have made some improvements to the lighting (you probably won't notice these changes)
- There is now a new spawn area near the underground skatepark teleporters on the aboveground skatepark in addition to the spawn area in the middle
- The map now has 37 spawnpoints as opposed to 8
- I have removed the ability for players to go under the map in the aboveground skatepark (this was due to all the empty space under the skatepark in the skybox)

I hope you enjoy the new version of Hoverworld. This will probably be the last version I will make as I would like to try out other ideas for maps for different source engine games. 
If enough of you guys want a version 3 that badly, I will consider making one. :)
